I seriously thought she’d never leave!
Seriously though, when I heard that the fall of 2012 would bring us the graduation of Takahashi I was overjoyed but also quite saddened.
I never really liked her. She always annoyed me lets say and I don’t know why. From the moment she replaced Yaguchi in Mini moni and conveniently became leader after Fujimoto Miki’s withdrawal from the group I really didn’t like her - in fact I accused her of leaking Miki’s “scandal” (because dating is a scandal in H!P world) to Friday magazine.
Like the british Queen I thought she would forever refuse to abdicate her throne and would be the age of Nakazawa Yuko leading a group of fifteen year old hopefuls still singing songs reminiscent of “Egao Yes NUDE” but here we are, she is leaving not only Morning Musume but also Hello!Projecy which brings me to my next point. The reason why I am quite saddened.
It came to me that more and more of the H!P “oldies” or “Originals” are disappearing. I for one loved the fact they brought Dream Morning Musume into the forefront but nothing is quite going to beat being in the original Morning Musume line up. It’s the typical feeling of fear of change - and I don’t like change.
Hello!Project (circa 2002-2006) still holds some of my most cherished memories but I guess nothing great lasts forever.
